IDEA power joined AEDC to develop Malindi solar project in 2015. The project is 40 MW photovoltaic solar power, and harnesses the solar energy through photovoltaic panels, which moves according to the sun's position in the sky to enhance the generational efficiency. The PPA has been signed with KPLC in June 2017, and Globeleq joined the project in December 2017.
